For Artists from Countries Affected by Displacement, War and Persecution

At the core of our mission is to design and deliver this fully funded programme for selected cohort of emerging artists affected by humanitarian disasters so that they can rebuild their broken creative journeys in the UK.

Through bespoke group sessions and 1-1 support, we will support these artists to develop their creative potential and knowledge in other aspects of life as a practising artist in the UK. We will identify their strengths and work through any weaknesses, in order to develop their artistic talent and improve confidence.

The programme will be fully tailored to their access needs as well as creative and professional goals, and there will be an overarching focus on the artists’ mental wellbeing as we will provide wellbeing check-ins and offer mental health support to those suffering with poor mental health.

Artist talent agency with a twist

Agency for displaced artists in Edinburgh

We provide talent representation for emerging artists from displaced communities, refugees and asylum seekers, acting as their agent to help them to generate an income from their creative practice.   Acting as their agent, we cultivate unique inclusive opportunities with both public and private sector liaising with collectors, galleries, shops, art fairs and markets to help our artists to exhibit and sell their works.

Creative Workshops led by local artists

Opportunities for our artists

We run workshops for people from displaced communities who aren’t practicing artists, but who would like to explore their creativity, meet new people, socialize and boost their
mental wellbeing.

Participants from marginalized communities learn new creative skills, including a variety of contemporary art practices (painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, soft sculpture, installation, collage) and craft-making (ceramics, jewelery, cardmaking, handmade gifts etc).

These are open to the public but operate on a ‘pay it forward’ scheme as ticket prices subsidise free tickets for refugees, asylum seekers and displaced people.
